About us

Blue Ocean is a member of a Group of family-owned companies specializing in rice, seafood and timber, in which rice is our core business. Our humble beginnings can be traced to an industrious farmer named Huynh Long who built a small rice mill in the fertile fields of the Mekong Delta Region. In the span of two decades, Blue Ocean has grown into an international company with local expertise and global connections.

Our rich heritage and years of expertise in rice production are present in each step we take to produce the finest grade rice, from seed selection, planting and harvesting, to processing and packaging. We ensure that great care is given to our rice as it travels from our plant to your dining table.

With an extensive sales network in many countries and strong partnership with our distributors-customers, LOTUS Rice has capabilities to serve markets in USA, England, France, Germany, Spain, Middle East, Africa, Australia, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong…

2007

Establish the company under the name of “Blue Ocean Im-Export Co., Ltd”

2012

Establish the “Lotus Rice” brand, launching our 1st rice factory

2016

Start ECOBA organic project to grow organic rice which complies to international organic certification in Mekong Delta, Vietnam.

2019

Develop Organic Rice “ECOBA” brand successfully. In the same year, exported the first shipment of organic rice

2020

Export rice successfully to EU countries and Lotus Rice is available in big supermarkets like Albert Hein, Jumbo, Dirk, Deen, Voormarkt, Grand Frais.

2022

Exported rice to more than 55+ countries.

2023

Launch our 2nd rice factory, increasing total monthly production capacity to 15,000 tons.
